We built our own commerce platform — DokanePOS — and run it in production with retailers like Shundor.me. Custom storefronts on Next.js + Laravel, platform migrations, and multi-channel inventory sync between POS, online, and marketplaces.

Proof

We built our own commerce platform — and run it in production

DokanePOS is our proprietary commerce platform. Point-of-sale at the core, with an optional e-commerce add-on that runs as a standalone storefront when retailers want one. Built on Laravel and Next.js — each storefront is its own customizable Next.js front-end. The differentiator over Shopify or WooCommerce: native sync between in-store POS and online catalog, so your inventory is one source of truth across both channels.
DokanePOS is in production with multiple retailers today. Shundor.me runs the full stack — DokanePOS in store, our multi-template Next.js storefront online, sharing one catalog. Truvalu Group rolled DokanePOS POS across the small retail and food-service businesses in their MSME portfolio (POS only — the e-commerce add-on is optional). When DokanePOS is not the right fit, we also build Shopify stores, WooCommerce stores, and fully custom Next.js storefronts — and migrate stores between platforms when the current one is holding the business back.
Capabilities

What we ship for e-commerce

Six categories of work we deliver as standard. Headless commerce, B2B-specific tier pricing, subscription/recurring storefronts, and custom multi-step checkout flows are not in this list — we are capable of them but have not shipped to clients yet, so we will not claim them as standard work.

DokanePOS commerce platform

Custom storefronts

When Shopify and WooCommerce do not fit — built on Next.js + Laravel, with the catalog, checkout, and admin you actually need rather than what fits a platform template.

Platform migrations

Move between platforms without losing SEO, customer history, or order data. We have shipped migrations regularly — Magento to modern stacks, WooCommerce to headless, custom-to-managed and back.

Multi-channel inventory sync

In-store POS, online storefront, and marketplace — one catalog, one inventory, one source of truth. The DokanePOS angle that off-the-shelf platforms cannot give you natively.

Payment integrations

Stripe, Square, Shopify Payments, WooCommerce Payments, plus the Bangladesh local stack — bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz. We do not build custom direct-bank integrations; pick a different partner if you need that.

Performance & SEO baseline

Every commerce build ships with the same baseline as our other web work — Core Web Vitals targets, sitemap, robots.txt, JSON-LD product schema, Open Graph cards, image optimization, and WCAG AA accessibility.

Platform fit

Custom commerce vs. Shopify vs. WooCommerce — when to use what

Buyers ask us this constantly. Our honest take, and we will steer you away from a platform if it is not the fit.

Shopify

Wins when:

  • You want fast time-to-launch with managed hosting and security
  • Your needs map to Shopify's app ecosystem
  • You do not want to manage hosting, security, or maintenance

WooCommerce / WordPress

Wins when:

  • You are already running WordPress for content
  • You want open-source flexibility and no vendor lock-in
  • You are comfortable owning your hosting, security, and updates
  • Budget matters and you want an open-source foundation

When we steer you away: We will steer you away from custom commerce if Shopify or WooCommerce can deliver faster and cheaper for your scope. Away from Shopify if your build needs heavy customization or transaction fees compound at your scale. Away from WooCommerce if you do not want to own day-to-day ops and security.

Deep dives

Shopify and WooCommerce, specifically

What we ship on the two managed platforms we work with most often. Honest about what we do not focus on, so you can pick the right partner.

Shopify

What we ship

  • Migrations to and from Shopify (between platforms)
  • Shopify Payments integration
  • Bangladesh local payment gateways on Shopify (bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz)
  • Online Store 2.0 theme customization and brand-fitting
  • Performance optimization and Core Web Vitals tuning

What we do not focus on: Shopify Plus enterprise builds, custom Shopify app development from scratch, and headless Shopify (Hydrogen). For those, find a Shopify Plus partner.

WooCommerce

What we ship

  • WooCommerce store builds on managed WordPress
  • Migrations to and from WooCommerce
  • WooCommerce Payments integration
  • Bangladesh local payment gateways on WooCommerce
  • Performance and caching for WooCommerce stores

When we steer away: Subscription-billing-heavy WooCommerce stores or deeply custom multi-step checkout flows often need a specialist. We will scope it, but tell you honestly if WooCommerce is the wrong tool.
